  The 6ix Tales EP was composed by LVCA during a fully immersed, three-month residency at a secretive studio in the centre of Toronto - a city nick-named ‘The Six’, hence the name of the EP. Stacked to the roof with rare, vintage Moog synthesizers and machines, one piece being custom-made by Robert Moog himself, LVCA had unlimited access to this unique studio - the result of decades of accumulation by a private collector.
  
  The opening track, 'Teep' takes us straight into that 2am, underground, dance-floor feeling where all heads are locked into a body-jacking 4:4 journey. Psychedelic bleeps and electronic schisms float above a seriously chunky baseline that’s 130bpms of pure drive.
  
  'Dean’s Groove' is a driving floor stomper, set around a groovy, fast paced bass motif, which combines with atmospheric frills and filters to result in a track that makes your head bop enough to make your neck hurt. While creating the track, LVCA laced it with a plethora of analogue, trippy effects to conjure up enough heat to keep warm while physical temperatures outside the Canadian music studio reached -40 degrees.
  
  'Notherplan' delivers a teasing build of acid splashes, space echoes and bass notes that opens out into a tripped out future-scape of raving on Mars. LVCA’s joy at being let loose on synths, Roland machines and Synton Fénix boards is clear as day, as layer upon layer of sound weaves in and out of this funky, robot-punk jam.
  
  'Heavy-Duty Sound' is a glorious acid house call-and-response where staccato analogue hits swirl and jive with synthetic tones, aggregating into a near tribal trip that goes deep, deep into a Moog jungle where the flora and fauna is pulsing with electric energy.
  
  Living in Ibiza, LVCA’s EP is a solid addition to the aural story being unfurled with each successive release by this young London based record label. Run by Mike Gill, N-Gynn and Johnny Hunter it’s an independent imprint that melts and pushes the legacies of breakbeat, rave, house and electro into a Superlux sonic rocket that’s built to activate one thing, pure electronic groove.
